ABOUT

When Boone Valley English was established, our goal was to work hard and dedicate our efforts to assist the United English Breeders and Fanciers Association.  Over the years, we have raised many pups and promoted top quality show and night hunt champions.  Our hounds are found in many of today's English pedigrees.

After establishing Boone Valley English, we worked together with John Ferrari and his Timber Valley English line of dogs.  Together over 20 years, we have discussed crosses, genetics, and traits of hundreds of hounds.  We have spent countless hours studying the English breed and the traits certain lines carry.  Together, we have made a line of early starting, independent, stay put tree dogs.  I am proud to call John a close and dear friend.  We have spent many nights following our hounds and have also traveled many miles together hitting the hunts.  Sadly, we have buried many grand night champion coonhounds in his dog cemetery.  At this time, we have five English Hall of Fame dogs buried side by side.  Additionally, we have over ten other grand night or night champions buried there.

Today, we currently have a new batch of hounds to promote.  We are the proud owners of Gr. Nt Ch. Ch. PKC Ch. Briar Creek Blue Sue HTX. She has made a special place in our hearts and is the foundation of our kennel. We also have several started hounds. Heisman and Cry have done their winning this summer on the bench and will be in the night hunts next spring. We also look forward to Sue's litter our of Dual Grand Spring River Rilo. Rilo is owned by Darren Bryant of Miami, Oklahoma. We look forward to seeing what Rilo and Sue can produce. Finally, Hunter and Addie each have 8 week old puppies named "One Spot West Virginia" and "MOOOOO". It will be fun to watch them grow up and contribute to our family tradition.

At Boone Valley English, we take pride in raising, training, and promoting English coonhounds in the competitive sport of today's world.  We promote our hounds in three registries (UKC, PKC, and CHKC).  We are active members of our local, state, and breed associations.  We are also a proud member of the Purina Pro Club.

Chip & Trish Wisecup

Owners/Handlers

Chip studies genetics regarding English crosses.  He finds males and females with the needed traits to make good crosses. He is the go to person for all of the breeding decisions.  Chip also enjoys hitting the major hunts.  He has also been a UKC licensed bench show judge and master hounds.  He has judged the Iowa Governor's Cup and other hunts around Iowa.

Trish's departments include: puppies, paperwork, puppies, scheduling, and puppies. Trish will be showing dogs for us on the bench as we travel promoting our hounds throughout the country.  Trish is also in charge of managing the Young Living Essential Oils that we use on the hounds as well as on us as handlers.

Raymond Wisecup

Handler

Raymond is one of our handlers.  He will be handling several different hounds.  He is responsible for knowing which dogs are ready to go and which dogs we take to the hunts and shows.

Ray has many years of experience both showing and hunting English hounds.  As a youth, he won many English Days youth bench shows and Iowa State youth night hunts.  As a teenager, he made several night champions and grand show champions.  We look forward to seeing him win again.
